About the Show

Joe Montoya brings you a new take on an old myth in this satyr play, directed by Chris Rivera.  While a certain *cough* pandemic might be keeping our theatres closed for now, TTF is bringing you a filmed version of this groundbreaking farce, streaming in 2022.

Susan Ly

Susan Ly (Eurydice), a native Houstonian now based in NYC, is thrilled to be working with TTF again! She has a BFA in theatre from Stephen F. Austin State University; studied abroad at Rose Bruford (England) and La R.E.S.A.D. (Spain); and has performed in several shows, as well as in commercials, print ads, and film. Huge thank you to folx everywhere who support the arts, and to all of her loved ones!

Daniel J. Maldonado

Daniel J. Maldonado (Orpheus) is an NYC-based actor who is elated to be a part of such a special production.

Newsies (Helen Hayes nomination; Arena Stage), the world premiere of Moulin Rouge! The Musical based on Baz Luhrmann’s critically acclaimed film (Emerson Colonial Theater, Boston), Grease (Pittsburgh CLO), Pippin (FreeFall Theatre), and The Graduate (Forestburgh Playhouse). Heaven Stephens

Heaven Stephens (Chione/Demeter) is an established actor, singer, and voice artist who specializes in creating compelling,  complex characters, as well as heightened language.  Most recently, Heaven performed in the Hudson Warehouse's documentary What They Said: The Most Memorable Quotes from the Past 20 Years and was heard in the original song collaboration Graveyard with recording artist Sourya for the charity A Path Forward – Ballroom Basix, streaming on YouTube. She is also the voice of Commander Rozlin in the upcoming and highly anticipated second season of the award-winning fantasy  audio drama podcast Visionaries.

Adriana Medina Santiago

Adriana Medina Santiago (Altea/Persephone) is a senior at Pace Musical Theatre. She is so excited to expres her brujeria roots and become the Queen of Hell. Her past credits include Hatched at Feinstein's/54 Below directed by Zi Alikahn, Showtunes Blowout directed by Sam Pinkleton, Gina/Silvie in Amelie, and the pre-production of Love Life at City Center directed by Victoria Clark.

Aaron Wilson (Hermes, et al.) is beyond honored to take part in Orpheus Was An A-hole! and to help bring this refreshing take on a classic story to life. Aaron is best known for his top-five placement in Mama’s Next Big Act, 2019. His recent credits include Songs of the Voodoo Queen (Raul), Big Gay Love Story: The Musical (Ensemble), A Day On Venus (Jerrar), and You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown (Schroeder). Steven Michael Martin (Jymdarius) is very proud and excited to once again work with Turn to Flesh Productions. He is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. He was also featured in TTF's production of Malvolio's Revenge as Sir Toby Belch.

Joe Montoya (Writer/Aristeus) is an NYC-based actor/playwright, recently seen on stage last summer as Tobias at Hangar Theatre's Sweeney Todd, virtually at FuerzaFest 2021, and live from NY workshopping Kenny Leon’s upcoming musical of Trading Places. Other credits: Arena Stage (Newsies!), FuerzaFest 2019/2018 (Our Own Odyssey) Turn to Flesh Productions (Malvolio’s Revenge), and BAAD Theatre (Los Nutcrackers)
